Garland-Mary Edna Reese Hyer, 98, passed peacefully through the veil early Saturday morning 3 December 2011; at the home of her son Alan & Susan Hyer in Eagle Mountain, Utah Co., Utah. Edna was born 29 October 1913 at Chesterfield, Caribou, Idaho, to Thomas Edwin and Emma Sessions Reese; the 1st of 8 children. She married Frank Andrew Hyer on 22 September 1936 in Logan Utah Temple. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, a grandson, 4 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by 5 sons Kenneth, Keith Kathryn, Marvin Brenda, Max Peggy and Alan Susan 19 Grand Children and 55 Great Grand Children. Edna was a long time resident of Garland, Utah until forced by her health and age to live with her sons and daughters in law. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church serving in many positions and callings in the Primary and Relief Society. She was well known for her skills at baking ie., bread, rolls, cookies, and pies. She was skillful at crocheting, knitting, making innumerable pieces for family, friends and neighbors. Special thanks to the Hospice workers in Tremonton, and Eagle Mountain who rendered such loving care. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Garland Tabernacle, 140 West Factory in Garland, UT. A viewing will be held Friday, December 9, 2011from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, and Saturday from 9:30 – 10:30 prior to the funeral, at the Tabernacle. Interment will be in the Garland Cemetery.
