Mary Geraldine Fulkerson Pitcher, 95, passed away Monday, February 10, 2003 due to causes incident to age. She was surrounded by her daughters and family. Mary was born November 4, 1907 in Trenton, Utah to Lafayette Armstrong and Mary Ann Delaney Fulkerson. She attended Cache County schools, graduating from North Cache High School. Mary married her high school sweetheart, Ronald Nelson Pitcher in 1927. They were married 68 years. He passed away in 1995. Mary had a beautiful singing voice, played the piano and sang with her family, friends and also in trios, entertaining at numerous occasions throughout the valley. She was an extraordinary cook, sharing her delicious meals generously with family and friends on numerous occasions. She was also a gifted seamstress and shared her talent with many people. She was a devoted mother and wife and was adored by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. There was never a more kind-hearted, generous and hospitable person than Mary. She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. She is survived by her children: Jerri Ellis Jonas, Smithfield; Faye Don Schiess, Rigby, Idaho; Jenness Pond, Logan; two sisters: Bonnie Parson, Logan; and Jenness Hurren, Hyde Park. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and six brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2003 at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan. Friends and family may call Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 85 South Main, Smithfield and on Friday morning at Nelson Funeral Home, Logan, from 11:30 to 12:40 prior to services.
