Mary-Ellen Giles, 64, was received in her Heavenly Father?s arms and reunited with her daughter, Melanie Tuesday, April 4, 2005 at McKay-Dee Hospital. She was born in Tremonton, Utah on May 14, 1941 to Sterling and Fern Tingey Huish. She attended Garland Elementary and graduated from Bear River High School class of 1959. She attended the University of Utah on scholarship and Utah State University. On December 2, 1960, she married Myron Giles, Jr. in the Logan LDS Temple. They lived in Garland, Logan and Tremonton where they raised their family. Mary-Ellen was president of the Garland Civic League and a member of the Tremonton Civic League. She created beautiful handiwork. She enjoyed scrap booking, shopping, her dog, Brittanie and most of all being surrounded by her family. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she held many positions, most recently as an ordinance worker in the Logan Temple. She especially loved working with the young women. After her kids were raised, she worked at several jobs, most recently at Lewis Cabinets. She is survived by her husband, Myron; one brother, Burton Gloria Huish, Twin Falls, ID; her children, Mike Susan Giles, Elk Grove, CA; Merrilee Kevin Robbins, Tremonton; Marcy Bryan Noorda, Springville; Mark Trisha Giles, Thatcher; Mandy Brandon Fullmer, Lehi; and 17 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Sterling Huish and her daughter, Melanie Kae. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 8, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tremonton Stake Center, 660 North 300 East, Tremonton with Bishop Jay Argyle officiating. Friends and family may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, April 7 at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and also at the funeral home Saturday from 9:00-10:30 a.m. prior to the services. Interment at Garland Cemetery.
