Martin James Reynolds

Bountiful - Martin James Reynolds, 51, died unexpectedly January 14, 2006 in Box Elder County, Utah, due to heart failure. He was enjoying an outdoor activity with his three youngest children on a beautiful winter day. Marty was born October 9, 1954 in Salt Lake City to John Wesley Reynolds and Rosetta Marvelle Jones. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Belgium-Brussels Mission and served in various church capacities in Salt Lake City, Utah, Reno, Nevada, Tremonton, Utah and Bountiful, Utah. Marty attended the University of Utah and was awarded a B.A. degree in English. He worked as a Surety Manager for The Buckner Company in Salt Lake. He served as president of several professional organizations, and received numerous awards and honors for his service. Marty enjoyed spending time with his family. He served as a scoutmaster for several years and loved working with the youth. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fly-fisherman and skier. He loved reading, camping and vacationing with his family. Marty is survived by his wife, Roslyn Romney Reynolds and seven children; Brooke, Logan, Utah, Erin, Provo, Utah, Anna McAllister Grant, Cedar City, Utah, Hillary, Cedar City, Utah, Lucas, Chris and Megan, his mother, Rosetta Marvelle Jones and his brothers and sisters, Don Maurine, Jo Boulton, Jim, Boise, Idaho, Melanie, Logan, Utah, Jacque Hall Brad, Pocatello, Idaho, Jeannie Johnson Jerry, Saudi Arabia. His father and a brother, Wesley, precede Marty in death. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at the Bountiful Heights LDS Church, 165 South 1000 East. Friends may call on Tuesday, January 17, from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home in Tremonton. Donations may be made at any Zions Bank Location, in the Roslyn Reynolds Family Fund.
