Marlene Bourne Anderson

March 7, 1931 — December 13, 2008

Marlene B. Anderson of Boulder, CO passed away peacefully in her sleep December 13, 2008 after living many years with the dreaded disease, Dementia. Marlene was born March 7, 1931 in Garland, UT to Vernon and Ireta Bourne. Marlene was the youngest of a wonderful family of four sisters and three brothers. On August 3, 1954 in Bear River City, UT she married Cleon D. Anderson, the love of her life. Both of them attended the same high school as classmates and became very good friends. At the conclusion of Cleon's tour in the military, they were married and Cleon pursued a degree in Engineering at Utah State University in Logan, UT. They were later sealed in the Denver Colorado Temple.
Marlene also attended the university, however she later worked full time to help with the couple's finances. At the time of her husband's graduation, the university presented Marlene with a degree of Putting Hubby Through School. After graduation, Marlene and Cleon relocated to California where their two sons, Gregory and Drew were born. In 1977, her husband's company relocated the Anderson family to the Boulder, CO area where they have resided until her passing. Marlene is survived by her husband of 54 years; sons: Gregory Tracy Anderson of Goodyear, AZ and Drew Brandy Anderson of Everet, WA and four grandchildren; brothers: Don Pat Bourne of Garland, UT, Lamar Anne Bourne of Kaysville, UT; sister, Camille Robinson of Rockford, IL; sister in-law, Linnay Bourne of Lindon, UT. Marlene was preceded in death by her parents as well as her brother, Charles, and sisters: Edythe, Sylvia, and Francis.
Graveside Dedication Services will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the Bear River City Cemetery. Friends may call Monday, December 22, 2008 from 6:00–8:00 P.M. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton.
