Marjorie Hansen Kutchinski, 83, Tremonton native, passed away June 25, 2004, in McAllen, Texas, from stroke complications. Marj was born July 1, 1920, in Garland, Utah, to Leland J. and Ione Felsted Hansen. She married West Point graduate, Henry Paul Kutchinski, January 1, 1945. Paul's career stationed them in NC, NY, AZ, and GA. They retired to Texas. She was a caring and devoted wife, mother, and daughter.Marj was a USAC now USU graduate where she excelled in drama and creative writing. She also received a Master's Degree in psychology from CCSU. Marj loved to write. As a teenager, she wrote for the Bear River Valley Leader and Garland Times. As an adult she published historical articles and stories for many publications. In 1998, her book Liberty, Justice, & F'rall The Dog Heroes of the Texas Republic was published by Eakin Press. Her book is available in the Alamo gift shop and other fine bookstores and libraries.She was an avid reader of history. She also enjoyed theater, travel, friends, and family. She loved the mountains. She found joy in everyday things most people overlook. She was a pleasure to be with because of her keen and creative mind, sense of humor and optimistic outlook.Marj was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers: Dr. Jay Hansen, Dr. Donald Hansen, and baby Gary. Survived by husband Paul and daughter, Paula, TX; son, David Gaylene, Iraq/CO; one granddaughter; three great-grandchildren; sister, Mitzi Brady Rodney, SLC; Hansen sisters-in-law, Hallie, CA and Carol, NC.A Tremonton Cemetery graveside service will be held Thursday, October 14, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. Friends and relatives can gather at the Brady home on Thursday, 7-9 p.m. to greet her son David and Gaylene.On-line condolences may be expressed at
