Marion Stallings King

Garland, Utah ? Marion Stallings King, 92, passed away Friday, December 1, 2006 at her home. She was born April 14, 1914 in Eden, Utah to George Franklin and Elizabeth Ann Carver Stallings. She married Lorus Olin King January 31, 1936 in the Salt Lake Temple. He died July 30, 1994.
Marion was reared and educated in Eden, Utah graduating from Weber High School. She graduated from Weber College with a Teacher?s Certificate. She worked for Woolworths in Ogden, Utah. She and her husband owned and operated their family farm in Garland and Ranch in Standrod, Utah. She performed childcare in her own home. She made beautiful and elegant wedding cakes.
She was a member of the East Garland Ward and served in the past as a Relief Society President, member of Bear River Stake Relief Society Presidency, Visiting Teacher, Teacher and member of Young Women?s Presidency and Sunday School Teacher. She and her husband served in the Florida Tallahassee Mission from 1980-1981. She attended the temple regularly.
Surviving are her children: Ronald Sharon King, Garland, Utah; Bruce Roxanna King, Brazil Recife Mission; Karla Russell Church, Cedar Edge, Colorado; Sharol Raymond Marchant, Laie Hawaii Mission; Yale Sherrie King, Thatcher, Utah; Connie Robert White, Lewisville, Texas; Janice William ?Bill? Varga, Garland, Utah; Wayne Toni King, Fisher, Indiana; 42 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren, four step grandchildren and 15 step great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, five sisters: Inez, Zena, Doris, Ortell and Lila; one brother, Lowell.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 7, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fielding Stake Center, 4375 West 15600 North, Fielding. Family and friends may call Wednesday, December 8, 2006 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Thursday from 9:00-10:40 a.m. at the church. Interment at Garland Cemetery.
