Marilyn Ipsen Hess

Sunset. Marilyn Ipsen Hess, 69, passed away at her home. She was the daughter of Marcus Mads and Gladys Ethel Zundel Ipsen. She married Raymond N. Hess on January 19, 1952. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Bountiful Temple on August 19, 1995. She was a graduate of Box Elder High School. She married in Plymouth and moved to Garland and then later moved to Sunset. She was a member of the Sunset First Ward. She served in various capacities including, a Stake Missionary, Den Leader, Librarian, and was currently serving in the Single Adults. Surviving are four daughters and one son: Christine and Dan Watters, West Haven; Linda and Ernie Gainey, Ogden; Lauri and Chriss Rentmeister, Layton; Raymond Neal and Rebecca Hess, Clinton; Carol and Neil Linton, Desert Hot Springs, CA. Also surviving are one sister Doris and Rex Barker, Salt Lake and her brother-in-law Norris and Edna Hess, Plymouth; 24 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and PeeWee Poohy Dog, her loving companion. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond, two daughters, Teresa and Tanya, one brother, Robert Ipsen, and one sister, Shirley Elswood. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 22, 2003 at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home located at 111 North 100 East. The viewing will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 21, 2003 and 9:30-10:40 a.m. on Monday, September 22, 2003 at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home.
