Marilyn Whitehead Einzinger

Marilyn Whitehead Lowe Einzinger, our strong, courageous Mother, Grandma and Great Grandma returned home to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father and soul mate, Robert, on April 28, 2012.
Marilyn lived a life full of grace and dignity, in which she valiantly faced all the obstacles and trials placed in her path. She was the 2nd daughter of Abraham and Grace Whitehead, born May 21, 1931 in Franklin, Idaho. As the daughter of a farmer, Marilyn learned the importance of strength and the value of hard work. She and her sisters; Joyce, Shirley and Gwen were known for their beauty, singing voices and fun natures throughout the community. Marilyn loved to barrel race horses and dance. She married Dennis M. Lowe in 1948 and they had two children, Valerie and Rick. Her future was so bright until she awoke one morning in the grip of Polio. After months of pain and rehabilitation, she regained the use of her arms, but the use of her legs was lost forever. Despite her limitations, she pressed on to be a wonderful wife, a loving mother, and a dear friend to so many.
Marilyn's disability did not stop her from developing her talents. She became an amazing cook, gifted artist, and excellent seamstress. She found an interest in jewelry and worked at Thomas Jewelers for many years which provided her a way to touch the people of Logan. She even entered the Miss Wheelchair Utah pageant and won Miss Congeniality.
Later, Marilyn and Denny divorced and Marilyn moved to Logan. When building her home, she captured the heart of the Logan Building Inspector, "Who swept her off her Wheels." She and Robert Einzinger were two halves of a whole in every way. They were married in 1981 and spent 27 years together, living a life full of love and laughter.
When her sweetheart passed away in 2009, Marilyn moved to Syracuse, Utah to be closer to her family. Her greatest joy in life was her family: her daughter, son, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter Valerie Didericksen, Centerville, UT; son Rick Sannette Lowe, Kaysville, UT; sisters, Shirley Hobbs, Orem, UT; Joyce Perry Shumway, Brigham City, UT; Grace Long, Ogden, UT; 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.

The family wants to thank all of Marilyn's aides from CNS Layton and her wonderful personal aides for their loving care. She loved you all dearly.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. in the Logan 12th Ward Chapel, 940 West Three Point Avenue. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan and on Thursday at the church from 11:30 to 12:30. Interment will be in the Franklin Cemetery.
