Smithfield, Ut - Marilyn Edna Anderson Wuthrich passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, April 19, 2010 following an extended illness. Marilyn, 86, was born on July 30, 1923 in Thornton, Idaho, the only child of Jeptheo and Maydia Anderson. She was raised in Kilgore, Idaho and attended school in Ideman, graduating from Madison High School in Rexburg, Idaho. She worked in Arco for the Triple A office before marrying Robert Wuthrich on June 27, 1943. They made their first home in Dubois and later moved to Rexburg. They moved to Malad in 1959 and eventually settled in Smithfield in 1976. They were married for 66 years. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Bob, of Smithfield, Ut; children: Lance Deena Wuthrich of Twin Falls, Id; Dick Wuthrich of Brigham City, Ut; and Alair Dana Schroeder of Idaho Falls, Id; twelve grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, great granddaughter, Lilly Maydia Stowe; daughter-in-law, Marcene Wuthrich; and great granddaughter, Hailey Rae Wuthrich. She was a fabulous cook and a talented seamstress. She will be remembered for her positive attitude, faith and kindness. The family wishes to thank Nancy Augustus for the wonderful care she has given Mom for several years, and also the IHC Home Health and Hospice, especially Diane Crockett. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Smithfield Eighth Ward Chapel, 155 West 400 North, Smithfield, Utah. Friends and family may call Thursday evening, April 22, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 85 South Main, Smithfield and Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church prior to services.
