Marie Larsen Forrester returned home to her Heavenly Father and the loving arms of her husband and daughter Judy on January 17, 2003. Marie was born on June 22, 1922 to Alma Larsen and Rebecca Spring in Providence, UT. She married James Bowers Forrester on June 19, 1940 in the Logan Temple. Marie served in many different callings for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She made many quilts for her family, friends and the Relief Society. She worked as a custodian for U.S.U. for many years. She helped with the Lion?s Club during baseball games in the food stand. She is survived by 7 children, Jim, Smithfield; Ann Marie Palmer Woodrow Brigham City; Larry Palmer Judy?s Husband West Valley City; Lynn Barbara Tooele; Linda Gardner Robert Bothell, WA; Ned L., Smithfield; Thad Shirlee Smithfield; David B. Smithfield. 37 grandchildren and 40 great-grand children. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, James Bowers Forrester, daughter Judy Palmer, and daughter-in-law Nila Jean Forrester. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 23, 2003 at the Smithfield 1st Ward Chapel, 175 South 100 West. There will be a viewing Wednesday, January 22, 2003 at Nelson Funeral Home, 85 North Main, Smithfield, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and prior to the funeral services on Thursday from 9:30-10:40 a.m. at the church.
