Tremonton-- Marian Eloise Robbins Grover Rhodes, 74, of Tremonton passed away peacefully at Ogden Regional Hospital due to complications of diabetes and heart disease. Marian was born December 16, 1928 in Salt Lake City to Hulbert Merlin and Helen Francis Williams Robbins. She spent her childhood in Stone, Idaho. Her mother, Helen, died when she was 6 years old and she was left to help raise her siblings until her father married Ruth Anderson Robbins. On April 12, 1946, Marian married her sweetheart, Leon J. Grover, together they raised a wonderful family of five children. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Leon passed away in 1981. On November 7, 1992, she married Carl B. Rhodes in Tremonton. Besides Stone, Idaho, Marian has lived in Fielding and Tremonton, UT. Marian was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she enjoyed serving in various capacities in Primary, Relief Society, and the Sunday School organizations. She loved quilting, gardening, family history, and helping on the family farm. She was a woman of extraordinary abilities and the items she built, stand as a tribute to her talents. She delighted in family gatherings and her family truly loved and honored her. She is survived by her husband, Carl B. Rhodes of Tremonton; children, Margene Bert Chew, Green River, WY, Karlene John Marshall, Roy, Jay L. Melody Grover, Rock Springs, WY, Clayton M. Tricia Grover, Tremonton, Lane Dee Tanja Grover, Fielding; Step Children, Karla Jenkins, Denise Dustin Cornwall, Debra Gaylen Luke, Wesley Donell Rhodes, Tim MayDawn Rhodes, Jayne Dee Hunsaker; 16 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 27 step grandchildren; 17 step great grandchildren; brothers John, David, Dick, Dale, Milton, Rex, and Alvin Robbins; Sisters, Hazel Jones, Helen Stratton, Eileen Williams, Vicki Robbins, MaryAnn Reel. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Leon J. Grover; brother, Thomas Robbins; sister Catherine Helen; grandson, Robert Leon Chew. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2003, at the Tremonton 3rd and 8th Ward Chapel, 9590 North 6800 West, Tremonton, with Bishop Jerrold Ward conducting. Friends and family may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, February 4, 2003, at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 East 100 North, Tremonton, and Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the church.
