Margaret Petersen

Thatcher, Utah ? Margaret Ruth Hugie Petersen born March 21, 1932 in Logan, Utah to Albert Hugie, Sr. and Mae Obray Noel Hugie. She returned to our loving Father in Heaven January 6, 2007 after a valiant battle with inflammatory breast cancer. She was raised in Logan, Utah and graduated from Logan High School. She worked at Woolworths for three years. She married Orval E. Petersen September 18, 1953. They lived in Tremonton, Utah, Inglewood and Torrance, California. Then they returned to the family farm in Thatcher, Utah. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Thatcher-Penrose First Ward. She served in the Primary, Cub Scouts and Relief Society. They were sealed as a family in the Logan Temple. During 1999-2000 she served a mission at the Salt Lake Family History Library.
Her children are Vickie Lee Lyle Godfrey, Sheree Bruce Williams, Curtis Debra Petersen and Lisa Cleve Horrocks.
She was preceded in death by her husband, father, mother, her son, Michael Orval Petersen and her grandson, Michael Cory Hess.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Thatcher-Penrose Chapel, 11475 West 10400 North. Family and friends may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Internment will be at the Bothwell Valley View Cemetery.
