Elwood - In the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 28, 2004, Margaret Elva Allred Munns departed for her final destination after a short but valiant battle with acute leukemia. "Meg" was born November 27, 1938, in Lehi, Utah to Aaron Fullmer Allred and Margaret Peterson Allred. Her father's occupation moved the family many times during her childhood, but she cherished those memories of Lehi, Washakie, Price, Grand Junction, Manti and Brigham City. She graduated from Box Elder High School in 1957 where she was Box Elder County Dairy Princess. She then attended Utah State University and BYU Hawaii. She was married on August 4, 1960, to her "Romeo", Paul Clair Munns in the Logan LDS Temple and they have been blessed with four children and twelve grandchildren. She made many lasting impressions and lifelong friends through her employment in the Tremonton area, her service with the State Farm Bureau, the Box Elder County Fair Board, and her involvement as a 4-H leader. A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Meg shared her testimony and served tirelessly. At different times in her life she was a Primary President, a counselor in the Relief Society, the Young Women's Camp Director, a Cub Scout den leader, a stake missionary and a visiting teacher. Meg enjoyed sewing, gardening, and being the consummate traveler. Rarely were her bags unpacked before the next adventure was planned. The destination wasn't important if it included family or friends. She will be dearly missed by her sweetheart, children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Paul, and her children; Paula Edgar Thorpe, Malad; Dalene Curtis Banks, Pasco, WA; Rodger Munns, Elwood; and April Rob Reed, St. George. She also is survived by twelve grandchildren: Blair, Cort, Kyley, and Taya Thorpe; Brittny, Andy, Rebekah and Spencer Banks, Kestlie, Thayne, Kaite and Kierra Reid. Also surviving are her mother: Margaret Peterson Allred, Murray, and her three "little brothers", Keith Cheryl Allred, South Ogden; Clyde LaDean Allred, South Jordan; and James Lori Allred, Murray. She was preceded in death by her father and her brother, Kent. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 1, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at the Tremonton South Stake Center located at 1150 South Tremont Street, Tremonton. Family and friends may call on Thursday, September 30, 2004, from 7-9 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home located at 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral. Interment will be at the Elwood Cemetery. On-line condolences may be expressed at
