Marcia Ann Stohl Johnsen

September 14, 1940 — January 1, 2009

Tremonton, UT – Marcia Ann Stohl Johnsen, 68, joined her loving husband Thursday, January 1, 2009. She was born September 14, 1940 in Tremonton, Utah to Heber Ervin and Vera Grace Hunsaker Stohl. She married Dean Brent Johnsen February 11, 1960 in the Logan LDS Temple. Marcia lived in Tremonton her whole life graduating from Bear River High School in 1958 and attended Utah State University. She was a past member of the Tremonton Civic Club and a "Pink Lady" at the Bear River Valley Hospital. She was an excellent seamstress, loved to iron, play the organ and loved to be with her family and friends. She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Tremonton 6th Ward and served as a Relief Society Teacher, Stake Relief Society Presidency, Primary Chorister and at the time of her death was a visiting teacher coordinator. She lovingly supported her husband in all his church callings and in the scouting program.
Surviving are her children: Teriann Tom Hanks, Travis Dean Johnsen, son-in-law, John Shelisa Loertscher; grandchildren: Tawni Adam Smith, Tangi Coby Reese, Spencer Dean Tori Hanks, Skye Hanks, Quincy, Alex, Collin, Rhyse and Grace Loertscher; great-grandchildren: Denver and Beckham Reese, Courtney and Grant Smith and one more on the way.
Preceding her in death are her husband, parents; daughters: Teresa Loertscher and Tamette Johnsen; sisters, Rita and Marilyn and a special niece, Regan.
Services will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tremonton Stake Center, 660 North 300 East, Tremonton, Utah with Bishop Michael Bowcutt officiating. Family and friends may call Tuesday, January 6, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
The family suggests donations to the Bear River Valley Hospital Foundation or the LDS Perpetual Education Fund.
The Johnsen family expresses appreciation to Dr. Rod Merrell, the nurses and staff of the Bear River Valley Hospital for their loving care.
