Marcella Irene Artiaga Lambert, born on February 25, 1957, in Las Lunas, New Mexico, journeyed from this world on July 24, 2024, in Smithfield, Utah. She was a trailblazer in her family, being the first to obtain a college degree. Marcell's life was a tapestry woven with diverse experiences - from substitute teaching in Smithfield to working as a bio technician and founding a film school dedicated to teaching young minds the art of filming and editing. Yet, it was in her role as a job at Goodwill in southern California where she found her true calling and made a lasting impact.
A free spirit who found solace in travel, camping, and fishing, Marcella's zest for life was infectious. Her warm personality and genuine kindness drew people towards her, resulting in a vast circle of friends who cherished her friendship dearly. However, it was in her role as a mother that Marcella truly shone; her love and nurturing nature leaving an indelible mark on those closest to her.
Marcella is survived by her devoted husband, Rick Lambert. She now joins her beloved parents, Francisco Vasquez and Nora Marela, in eternal peace. To honor and celebrate the remarkable life of Marcella Irene Artiaga Lambert, the family will come together for an informal Memorial Service on Friday, August 2 at 11 am at Nelson Funeral Home of Smithfield (85 S Main St.).
In lieu of flowers or cards, the family kindly requests that you share your condolences and treasured memories of Marcella on this page. A short slideshow has also been prepared as a tribute to Marcella - a touching reminder of the beautiful moments she shared with countless souls.
Marcella's legacy lives on in the hearts of all those whose lives she touched. May she rest in peace knowing that she was loved deeply and will be forever missed by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
