Madge Hunsaker Homer

August 17, 1926 — September 3, 2006

Madge Hunsaker Homer, 80, left her earthly family Sept. 3, 2006 to join those who have passed before her.
Mom was born August 17, 1926 in Honeyville, the daughter of George and Laura Dustman Hunsaker. She attended schools in Honeyville and graduated from Box Elder High.
She married Lyle Johnson; together they had a son Lyle Craig. They were later divorced. She married Donald Joshua Homer May 23, 1959 in Elko Nevada. They had three children. Dad died July 19, 1996.
Mom worked at the Leader for many years and loved the people she met there. After she retired to stay active she worked at Christensen?s and Carl and Don?s.
Mom loved to sew and embroider and loved to give away her beautiful handmade items.
She loved to cook for her family, Sundays and holidays were her favorite times. Mom was a member of the Fairview LDS Ward and loved each member dearly.
The greatest joys in her life came from her family. Mom had a special place in her heart for each and every one. She was happiest when her house was filled with laughter.
She is survived by her children; Dee Jay Joy Homer, Tonya Homer, Vickie David King, her step-daughter and best friend Karen Troy Waters. She has thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter. She also survived by many special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son Lyle Craig, her husband Don, her parents, her sisters Lawana Stenquist, Nola Rhodes, her brothers DeVearl and Fonnie Hunsaker.
Services will be held Thursday, September 7, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at the Fairview LDS Ward Chapel, 166 North, Tremont Street, Tremonton. Friends and family may call Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton Ut, and Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
She will be laid to rest at the Honeyville Cemetery.
