Mable Yeaman Torbensen

January 25, 1912 — November 25, 2004

Mable Yeaman Torbensen, 92, passed away peacefully on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 25, 2004, in Logan, Utah. She was born January 25, 1912 in Afton, Wyoming, the daughter of George W. and Mary Roberts Yeaman. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on August 19, 1936. Elden eventually built Mable her own home on 200 East in Logan where they lived happily for their remaining 55 years. They were faithful members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints serving in many local callings, a full-time mission in Canada, and later working for over ten years as officiators in the Logan LDS Temple. In 68 years of marriage, Mable and Elden were not divided, and in death they were separated but for six short weeks as Elden preceded her in death on October 9, 2004. Mable is survived by three children, Earl Torbensen, Alta Loma, CA, Jerry Torbensen, Kaysville, and Lana Parker, Salt Lake City; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A small service for close friends and family will be held Saturday, November 27, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan, with a viewing to be held prior to services from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
