Lynne Meadows Mangum

July 4, 1948 — February 2, 2005

Lynne Meadows Mangum, age 56, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at her home in Richmond, Utah surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 4, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Merle Reid and Leonard R. Meadows. Lynne graduated from Box Elder High School in Brigham City, Utah in 1966. She married Michael Ivan Mangum June 24, 1967 in Brigham City. They lived in Brigham City, Georgetown, Idaho and Jackson Hole, Wyoming, before moving to Richmond. While in Jackson Hole, she was a member of the Jackson Hole Jaycees, the Jackson Cowbells and involved in 4-H. After their move to Richmond, she continued her involvement in civic activities by teaching sewing and cooking classes, and as an adult leader for the Youth Bowling League. As a mother, her heart and home was always open, not only to her own family, but to the neighborhood children as well. She is loved dearly and will truly be missed. She is survived by her husband, Michael; four children: Kim Baugh Victor, Logan; Leslie; Jody Facer Andrew; and Dustin, all of Richmond and 4 grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother, two brothers: Jay Maryann of Suffolk, VA and Daren Terry of Herriman; a sister, Karen Christensen Curtis of Bear River and sister-in-law, Cyndi Johnson Meadows of West Valley. She was preceded in death by her father, her brother Mark Meadows, her mother-in-law, May Mangum and her father-in-law, Ivan Mangum. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2005 at the Richmond Stake Center, 135 West Main. Friends and family may call Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 85 South Main, Smithfield and Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Richmond City Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com .
