Lynn Spatig Porter

Logan ? Lynn S. Porter, 79, of Logan, Utah passed away at his home on April 16, 2003. He was born April 8, 1924 in Glendale, Idaho the son of Lewis Boyd and Martha Spatig Porter. He was reared and educated in Glendale and graduated from Preston High School. His senior year in high school he was called up to serve as a combat engineer during World War II. After the war he moved his family home from the farm to Preston and thus began his career as owner/operator of Lynn S. Porter Housemovers, Inc. He was also a dealer for Boise Cascade. His wife, S. Paulene Porter was his companion and partner in these business ventures. He served in many positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved travelling and golfing. He was always known as jokester. A natural leader, Lynn served as President of the Kuleana Association in Maui, HI and a Condo Association in Scottsdale, AZ. He also served a director of the association of Sweetwater Resort on Bear Lake. He loved going to Hawaii, Arizona, and to his cabin in Wyoming. He is survived by his wife, S. Paulene Porter, Logan; son Rock Camille Porter, Montgomery, AL; two daughters, Che-rri Rifenburg, Phoenix, AZ and Rasonda David Crandall, Meridian, ID; three grandsons, one granddaughter; other children include, Vivian Jensen, Ogden, Neal Kathy Porter, Logan, Blair Carol Porter, Preston, Scott Porter, Ogden, Shawna Kirt Hodges, Idaho Falls, Jacque Dan Craig Ogden; 17 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; brothers Kenneth AudeenPorter, Preston, Wayne Lavonna Porter, Ogden; sisters Reatha Dewey, Murray, ReNae Bud Daniels, Richmond. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers DeLewis and Clyde; and sisters Gwen Crosland and Dorris Bean. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2003, at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan. Friends and family may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be at the Fallsview Cemetery in American Falls at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 19. Condolences may be extended online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com .
