Lynette Irene Gardner Macfarlane Riverside: Lynette Irene Gardner Macfarlane, 72, died April 15, 2003, at the McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden. She was born April 4, 1931, in Tremonton, Utah, the daughter of Milo Dewey and Nellie Irene Knowles Gardner. She married Ted D. Macfarlane on June 1, 1951, in Riverside. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan Temple on May 12, 1964. Lynette was reared and educated in Deweyville. She was a graduate of Bear River High School and attended USU in Logan for three years where she studied Humanities and Fine Arts. She was very active in Drama, played her clarinet in the school band and loved to paint. She volunteered in many civic activities including the PTA, Box Elder County Democratic Party, state officer in the Hospital Auxiliary and as an election judge for many years. She was a member and state officer of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and worked at the Genealogy Library. She was a member of the Belmont 2nd Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she enjoyed and fulfilled many callings. She is survived by her husband, Ted of Riverside; her children, Annette M. Rod Thompson of Collinston; Melanee Bingham of Bear River City; Kirk Cherri Macfarlane of Tremonton; three grandchildren, Kristi Jared, Bridget and Scott; four great grandchildren, Kalan, Ashlee, Kyson and Katelyn; a brother, Robert Mary Anne Gardner of Deweyville and her sister Ina Elizabeth Richard Pett, Brigham City. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Merwyn and a grandson, Jason.
We will miss her smile, her laugh, and her love. We say a temporary goodbye to a wonderful friend, mom, and grandma. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 18, 2003, 11:00 a.m. at the Belmont LDS 2nd Ward Chapel, 16925 North 5200 West, Riverside, with Bishop Jay Capener conducting.
Friends may call Thursday, April 17th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Friday, April 18th from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
