She joined her husband after a 7 year battle with melanoma. She was born March 12, 1922 in Providence, Utah to Ira Hyer and Lydia Hortense Hansen. After her mother passed away when she was 3 weeks old, she lived with her Grandmother Hyer until her father married Valeria Leavitt. She grew up in Lewiston, the oldest of seven children. She was raised on a farm where she learned the value of hard work at a very young age. She married Clair Homer Comish on September 28, 1940 in Soda Springs. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. Together they raised 6 children. They lived in Franklin, Idaho and Cove for 66 years. With encouragement from her children, she built a new home in Smithfield a year and one-half ago, so she could be closer to them. She graduated from North Cache High School and Seminary and was accepted to attend the Budge Nursing School. After her children were grown, she worked as a C.N.A. at the Preston hospital and nursing home. She worked side by side with her husband building their farm, which was later recognized by the State of Utah as a Utah Century Farm and Ranch. Her life has been one of selfless service to her family, church and neighbors. Mom loved her family and was always happy to have them come ands visit. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving as MIA President, Relief Society Counselor, Sunday School and Primary teacher and many other callings. She served a mission at temple square until she had to return home because of health reasons.
