Lula Buttars Lott, 82, our beloved Mother, Grandmother, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, September 10, 2011 of natural causes.
She was born April 4, 1929 in Clarkston, Utah to William David Buttars and Edna Louise Whitney Buttars.
She was the sixth of eight children. She graduated from North Cache High School in 1947. She married Melvin Lott April 7, 1947 in Preston, Idaho. Together they had nine children. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. She loved music and loved to sing with her group of friends and in the several choirs she belonged to through the years. Lula loved her faith as an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings during her life. After her retirement as a Cosmetologist, Lula served in the Logan Temple for almost 20 years. She loved her children and grandchildren and loved to visit them often. They always enjoyed it when she would show up on her motorcycle. Mom enjoyed many hobbies which included traveling and motorcycle rides with her friends. She loved to serve people and in her later years distributed hundreds of homemade quilts to people she thought would enjoy being remembered. All of her grandchildren have a Gramy Lou quilt that they have grown up with and treasure. Mom always had a great love for her 25 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and would do anything for them.
Lula is survived by 8 children, Melvin Kent Lott Katherine, Doyle Kert Lott, Gerald Brooks Lott, Jeffery Bart Lott Lisa, Shawn Douglas Lott Ellen, Shelli Bickmore, Travis Cleve Lott Terri, Troy Stacey Lott, and one sister Leone Buttars.
