Luella Bea Cottle Boman

Luella Bea Cottle Boman died peacefully, July 10, 2003 in her home in Lewiston, Utah after a seven year battle with cancer. She was born on the 22nd of March 1923 in Stone, Idaho to Leland T. Cottle and Clara Irene Anderson. She grew up in Stone, Idaho and attended high school in Malad, Idaho. She served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, to the Northwestern States Mission from 1944 to 1946. She married Alva G. Boman June 13, 1946 in the Logan Temple. She made her home an enjoyable place for everyone, raised four children and also was employed by Smithfield Implement and the Post Office. She retired in 1983, and then with her husband served four more missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints: England, Australia, Fiji and Denver Temple. She loved music and was a member of the music group, ?Grace Notes?. She loved being with her family, crocheting, working in her flower gardens, writing poems and stories, going to the temple, doing family history, reading and studying the scriptures. She has had various church callings, including temple officiator, Relief Society president, Stake Primary Presidency, and Stake Young Women?s Presidency. She has been an example of faith, service and love to everyone who knew her. She was named a Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary International for her service to others. She is survived by her husband, Alva G. Boman, children: Lee and Judy Boman, Lynn and Coralee Hill, Bob and Chieko Boman, Suzanne and Lloyd Marchant, grandchildren: Troy Boman, Anthony Boman, Stacy Boman, Lynda and Ron Roe, Amy and Nicholas Nielson, Mark Hill, Kimberly Hill, Laurie Hill, Trina Boman, David Marchant, Scott Marchant and Lee Marchant and three great grand children. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters, Alice Hulse, Leland Cottle, Wally Cottle, Melvin Cottle, Steven Cottle and Ed Cottle. She was preceded in death by an infant brother and sister, her parents, and sister, Lea. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at the Lewiston 1st Ward Chapel, 10 South 1600 West. Friends and family may call Monday evening at Nelson Funeral Home, 85 South Main in Smithfield, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services.
