LuDene Reese Poulsen-Smith

September 12, 1928 — July 3, 2008

LuDene Poulsen-Smith 1928-2008 age 79, passed away peacefully in her home in Bountiful Utah on July 3rd 2008. LuDene was born in Benson Utah to Athen and Jessie Reese.
She was raised in Smithfield and developed a great love for both family and the Gospel. LuDene raised five children and at the time of here death she had 19 grand children and 28 great-grand children.
She married her sweetheart, Keith Poulsen, following a long courtship which included separation during WWII in the South Pacific and his LDS mission to the Central States.
LuDene and Keith were married in the Logan LDS Temple on November 12, 1948. Following the death of her husband Keith, she served a full-time LDS mission in the Georgia, Atlanta Temple.
In July, 2000, she married Wayne Smith of Logan Utah. They enjoyed a wonderful time together until his death in 2006.
LuDene is survived by here sister, Margorie Johnson Gale and the remaining 4 of her five children, Kent Chris, Suzanne Ken, Davie Jackie, Michael Laurie and daughter-in-law, Marlea Furlong.
LuDene was preceded in death by her first husband, Keith Poulsen, 2nd husband, Wayne Smith, brother, L. Grant Reese and her son Lon Poulsen.
The family is very grateful for the nursing staff of Rocky Mountain Hospice and her very special care giver, Charlotte Bade.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 8th at 2:00 PM at the Dry Canyon LDS chapel at 1350 East Eastridge Dr., Logan Utah with a viewing preceding the funeral from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. Fiends and family may call Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan Utah. Internment will be at the Smithfield City cemetery.
