Lucille Sparrow Binns died Sunday, February 5, 2006 at Sunshine Terrace. She was born on July 27, 1909 in Logan, Utah, the oldest child of George and Lovina Webber Sparrow. They later moved to Ogden, Utah where she attended school, graduating from Weber High School. She later attended Utah State University. She served as a missionary in the California mission. She married Wayne Binns in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They lived in St. Anthony, Idaho; Ithaca, New York; and Logan, Utah. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she served in the Relief Society in many different callings. She served with her husband as a temple worker for many years. They also served a mission at the visitor?s center in New York City. Lucille loved gardening, quilting, and being a wonderful homemaker. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by two children: Ralph Jane Binns of Logan and Anne Jay Taylor of Granite Bay, California. She is also survived by six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, one brother, Leon Sparrow, and one sister, Donna Pingree. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; her parents; and two brothers, Truman Sparrow and Marcel Mick Sparrow. The family wishes to express special thanks to the administration and staff at Sunshine Terrace and to Dr. Michael Stones for their support and care given over the past ten years. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at 12:00 noon at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan, Utah. A viewing will be held that morning from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences to the family may be extended online at
