Louise Rita (Aslin) Thomas, 93 died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, Oct. 13 at Sunshine Terrace.
She was born on July 27, 1923 in Fall River, Mass. She was the daughter of the late Benjamen James & Eva Mary Aslin. On April 17, 1949 she married Anthony James Thomas at St. Mary’s in Norwood, Mass. They were together for 51 years.
Being a mom, grandma and great-grandma was the love of her life. Being a stay at home mom, she had a home cooked meal served at 5 o’clock sharp. She enjoyed baking, canning, quilting circles and sewing. She loved to travel and later loved camping.
She attended the Nazarene Church of Walpole, MA where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She believed in her faith strongly & attended church regularly. She read her bible front to back and enjoyed listening to Christian music.
With the love of children, she became a licensed daycare provider and tended a lot of kids over the years.
She will be greatly missed and loved by all who had the honor of knowing her. A special thanks to Dr. Todd Brown, The Sunshine Terrace & Home Health & Hospice.
She is survived by Eva (Dennis) Johnson of St. George, UT, Linda Thomas of Plymoth, MA, Cynthia (Steve) Smith of River Heights, Philip (Priscilla) of Foxboro, MA, Patty Maughan & Jimmy Thomas both of Logan, UT. She had 17 grandchildren & 17 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by Anthony James (husband), Katherine Cummings (daughter), Christine Taylor (granddaughter).
Family & friends are kinkly invited to attend a viewing on Monday, Oct. 17 from 6-8 pm at Nelson Funeral Home on 162 E 400 N.
Interment will be at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton, MA.
