Louie Faye Stokes

Tremonton - Louie Faye Stokes, 81, of Tremonton, died Saturday, October 4, 2003 at the Pioneer Care Center in Brigham City. She was born on November 16, 1921 in Tremonton, the daughter George S. and Sarah Ruth Mecham Cooke. She married Verl W. Stokes on June 17, 1939, in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on June 25, 1969. Louie is survived by three adopted children - Larry Shirley Stokes of Port Orchard, WA, Leland C. Karolyn Stokes of Mantua, and Carolyn Boyd Lake of Layton; one sister - Sarah Howell of Portage, OR; 14 grandchildren, and 44 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at the Tremonton LDS 3rd Ward. Friends may call on Tuesday, from 6-8 p.m. at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home, and Wednesday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
