Lois Clark Brown Weaver, died of cancer, June 20, 2006 at her home in Smithfield. She was born Nov. 13, 1921 to Bird Reynolds Brown and Mabel Clair Clark Brown in Springville, Utah.
She married Elmo LaMar Roylance in 1938 and was later divorced. She married Van Renor Weaver Nov. 6, 1947 in the Manti LDS Temple. Lois? two daughters were sealed to them afterward. Another daughter and seven sons were born to this union. They have lived in Springville, Fresno, CA, Kaysville, Orem, St. Anthony, ID and Smithfield.
She and Van served in the Texas Corpus Christie Spanish-speaking mission from 1989 to 1991. She has also served in many other church callings.
Lois is survived by her husband of 59 years, her brother Ronald Jean Brown of Springville, 10 children and 9 of their spouses: Janean Reid Barney, Springville; Diane Beach, Huntington Beach, CA; Edith Gary Ogilvie, Laketown; David Jeanette, Idaho Falls, ID; Alma Pam, Lakewood, CO.; Ed Sharon Tehachapi, CA; Paul Nancy Sugarland, TX.; Richard Laura Trophy Club, TX.; Josh Janette and John Michelle, North Logan. She is also survived by 52 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 30, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the Smithfield Stake Center, 600 East 120 South, Smithfield with Bishop Roger Hanson, conducting. Friends and family may call Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 85 South Main, Smithfield and at the church on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Smithfield City Cemetery.
