Lois Marie White Sawyer was reunited with Charles Francis Sawyer, her husband of 65 years, on Friday, March 1, 2013.
They were to celebrate their 66th Anniversary on March 14th. Lois is finally able to be with the son she lost 65 years ago.
She was the last of her brothers and sisters to pass on and is now enjoying a family reunion.
Lois was born on November 28, 1927, in Southern California. She has resided in Smithfield for over 33 years.
She was an active member of the LDS church and spent her life in service to others. She was a second mom to many. She held many callings throughout the years, served as a visiting teacher, a primary teacher, was in the primary presidency, and in the Relief Society presidency. She enjoyed going to the temple with her husband, Charles.
She loved cake decorating and made the best sugar cookies and rolls. Her house was a haven for those in need. Lois offered the unconditional love of Christ to all. Lois is survived by her children, Kenneth Robbie Sawyer, Kathleen Hall, Sharon Michael Jarrett, Patricia Page and Robert Bliss Sawyer; 24 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Lois is a special lady whose love and influence will continue to be felt. She will remain with us forever in our hearts and in our memories.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the LDS Stake Center, 155 W. 400 N. in Smithfield, Utah. A viewing will take place from 12:30-1:30. Burial will follow the services at the Smithfield Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at
