Lois R. Paoletti died at her home in Logan, Utah after a fall and subsequent complications. Lois was born in American Fork, Utah; the daughter of Charles E. Robinson and Florilla Evans Robinson. Music became a large part of Lois? life even though she attended school in several states: Hobson, Montana; Lind, Washington; Portland, Oregon and Ogden, Utah due to her father?s work with General Mills. Lois became a part of bands and orchestras wherever she lived. Graduating Cum Laude from Ogden High School in Ogden, Utah, Lois received first place honors in the State of Utah High School Clarinet Competition. Performing with the R.O.T.C. Band, the Ogden High Band, the Ogden High Orchestra and as a soloist playing clarinet and saxophone, Lois received a music scholarship to Weber College. She studied privately with Glen Hanson as well. Ogden, Utah was also the setting for her when she met Thomas Francis Paoletti. Their marriage took place in Salt Lake City but they returned to Ogden to live. Thomas?
employer then transferred them to Reno, Nevada. Their daughter, Lynne, was born in Reno and soon after Thomas was again transferred to Logan, Utah where Lois and Thomas lived until their s. Lois? love of music was a common interest for the entire family. Lois and Lynne both studied piano with Irving Wassermann and became keen supporters of Utah Festival Opera and KUED Public Television at the University of Utah. They became members of the John R. Park Society at the University of Utah and the Broadcasters Club with KUED Public Television at the University of Utah. As an active and devoted bridge player, Lois was a member of several bridge clubs both at the Logan Country Club and elsewhere. Preceding Lois in were Lois? parents, her husband Thomas Francis, her brother, Russell Robinson, and her sister, Fay Foulger. Lois is survived by her daughter, Lynne, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 795 North 800 East, Logan, on Monday, January 23. Visitation is at 1:00 p.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. and Burial Services at 3:30 p.m. in the Logan Cemetery. Friendship and Food is at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church immediately afterwards. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church Building Fund, or the Utah Festival Opera, or KUED Public Television at the University of Utah are suggested.
