Lois Hazel Holmgren

Lois Hazel Morris Holmgren Thatcher: Lois Hazel Morris Holmgren, 68, passed away of cancer on November 16, 2002. She was born on September 20, 1934, to Bill and Hazel Ashby Morris in Tremonton, Utah. She married Pratt Oleen Holmgren on April 21, 1955, and they lived and raised their family in Thatcher/Penrose, Utah. Lois was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her role in life was that of caretaker and nurse prompted by love and her education in the field of nursing. She was a registered nurse at the Bear River Valley Hospital and has cared for many loved ones throughout the years. She devoted the last four years to caring for her husband and sweetheart, Pratt, in his declining health. She was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. She loved to cook, sew, crochet, and always had a project in the making. Many were recipients of her talents. She and Pratt opened their hearts and their home to their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends, and always had room for one more. Her husband, Pratt, a daughter, CarolLe; sons, Patrick O. and Parley Bill survive her. She is also survived by four granddaughters, Tinka Paul Atencio, Tawna Pulsipher, Tammy Hardy, and Lindsay Sorensen; four great grandchildren, Austin, Taylee, and McKennon Atencio and Domanic Scooby Hardy; her sisters, Mary Randy Hansen and Kathy Allen; sister-in-law, Koy Morris Harris. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Sonny Morris, and great grandson McKaden Pratt Hardy. Our family wishes to thank all who have been so kind and so thoughtful of our parents. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2002, 11:00 a.m. at the Thatcher/Penrose LDS Ward Chapel, 11475 West 10400 North. Friends may call Tuesday, November 19th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Wednesday, November 20th from 9:30 to 10:40 a.m. at the Thatcher/Penrose Church.
