Fielding: Lois Elaine Petersen Christoffersen, 74, passed away June 27, 2003, at her home in Fielding surrounded by her loving family. She was born in this same home on November 12, 1929, to Noble Rasmus and Donnetta Hansen Petersen. She was raised and attended school in Fielding. She graduated from Bear River High School in Tremonton and attended USU for two years. She married Eugene Christoffersen on November 10, 1950, in the Logan LDS Temple. He died December 5, 2002. Lois worked at Archibald Ford in Tremonton and retired from Flying J where she had worked as an accountant. She enjoyed sewing and was especially talented at cross-stitching. She has left many beautiful pieces to be enjoyed by her family. A yearly highlight for her was the trip to Cedar City with her sisters to attend the Shakespearean Festival. She was a member of the Hampton Ford Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she had served in the MIA, as a Relief Society teacher and Visiting teacher. She is survived by her children; Cathy David Ellis Evans, Ogden; Craig Eugene Gwen Christoffersen, Fielding; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a brother, Donald Eleanor Petersen, Fielding; her sisters, Rae Rasmussen, Vernal; Betty Jean ?BJ? Petersen, Provo; Carol Gordon Jensen, Brigham City; sister-in-law, Betty Jean Petersen, Fielding. She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother, Richard N. Petersen and a sister, Louise Meade. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 3, 2003, 11:00 a.m. at the Fielding LDS Stake Center, 4375 West 15600 North. Family and friends may call Wednesday, July 2nd from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Thursday, July 3rd from 9:30 to 10:40 a.m. at the Fielding Church.
