Linda Rae Bettridge Marriott

July 14, 1951 — October 16, 2008

Linda "Rae" Bettridge Marriott, 57 left our loving arms and returned to her Father in Heaven's arms on Oct. 16, 2008. She was born to Jim and Dorine Dailey Bettridge on June 14, 1951 Flag Day in Cedar City, Ut. She was the youngest of 6 kids, 4 brothers and 1 sister. On March 24, 1973 she gave birth to her only child, a daughter named Denise. She waitressed in many different places. During this time she met her eternal companion John Clyde Marriott. They were married on May 4, 1984 in Smithfield and a year later on the same day they were sealed in the Logan Temple to each other and Denise that made a forever family. She is survived by her husband John C., daughter and son-in-law Denise and Paul, and her most loved grandchildren, Randy O'Neal, Paula Kaye, RaeLynn Dee, and Kylie Joan Rich all of Smithfield. Sister, Sharlett Bettridge of Smithfield, Brothers, Elwood Susie of Milford, Ut, Wayne Carol of Grand Junction , Co, Dale Geri of Parawon, Ut. Many nieces and nephews that she always reminded them she was their favorite aunt. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother and a sister-in-law LaMont and Nett Betteridge from Beaver, Ut. A viewing will be held at Nelson Funeral Home, 85 South Main, Smithfield, Sunday Oct. 19 from 6-8pm. and Monday Oct. 20 from 1-2pm at the Smithfield North Stake Center, 155 West 400 North. Services will be held at 2:30 pm with Bishop Scott Perkes conducting. Intermet will be in the Smithfield Cemetery. Compassionate Service is by the Smithfield 8th Ward R.S.
