LOGAN – Linda Lee Smith Robinson Hymas passed away at her home in Logan on April 11th. Her family was present with her as she passed from this life. She had fought a courageous battle with cancer. Linda was born in Dillon, Montana on December 18th, 1947 to wonderful parents, George & Theda Smith. Linda spent her childhood living in Tremonton, Utah. Linda attended Utah State University and graduated from LDS Business College. It was at USU though that she met her husband, Michael Paul Robinson. They were married in the Logan Temple July 2, 1971. Together they had four children. They lived in Fairfield, CA and Green River, WY. While in Green River, Michael died of cancer in 1987. She then moved to Logan in 1997 and married her second husband, Bill Hymas in 1998. Bill passed away in 2006. Most know her from Smith's grocery store where she had worked for the past 24 years. Amidst the afflictions in her life she always had a smile and was there to help so many others in their afflictions. She had countless friends due to her sincere love for everyone. Linda was a great example, a great mother, and a great friend. She loved her grandchildren very much. She is survived by her four children, Jill Adamski, Philadelphia, PA; Julie Swensen Justus, Millville; Chris Robinson Michelle, Queen Creek, AZ; Kimberly Davis, Millville; and eight grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Darrell Smith Carole Dawn, Layton; Sandy Thompson Mark, Tremonton; Gary Smith Sherry, TX; and Dee Smith Kim, Gunter, TX. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Michael Paul Robinson and William Hymas, her parents, and her sister Carol Johnson. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 11am, at the Logan 10th ward chapel, 792 North 500 East, Logan. There will also be a viewing ceremony Friday, April 17, 2009 from 6-8pm at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan and Saturday from 9-10:30am at the church.
