LeVirl Lundberg Brown slipped peacefully back to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday March 12, 2013 at her home in Logan. She was born in Amalga, Utah the oldest of four children, born to Heber Hendrick and Susie Ellis Lundberg. LeVirl grew up in Logan helping her father on the farm. The most important things to her were her strong commitment to family, her church and the value of hard work. LeVirl attended school in Logan where she graduated in 1942 from Logan High School. She married her high school sweetheart Marriner Ira Brown on September 8, 1942 in the Logan LDS Temple. They were married 70 1/2 years. They moved to Ogden for a short time before Marriner left for WWII. She moved back to Logan to await his return. After WWII they moved to Montana to work on a cattle ranch. After a few bitterly cold winters they returned to Logan to raise their family. LeVirl worked in the insurance and billing department at Logan Regional Hospital for 19 years. LeVirl served in many callings in the church. She and Marriner served an LDS mission to the Wisconsin, Milwaukee Mission from November 2, 1992 to November 12, 1993. LeVirl was a wonderful wife and mother. She was a very loving and compassionate person, making sure others needs were met before her own. She was an accomplished seamstress who sewed wedding dresses, christening gowns and clothing for her children, as well as her grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting, quilting and playing the piano and organ. She was an avid canner and always had a garden. She was preceded in death by her parents, Heber & Susie Lundberg, a sister, Donna Monk, and a granddaughter, Angie Springer. She is survived by her husband, Marriner, her children and spouses; Linda & Reed Painter of Providence; Denise & Sheldon Pat Case of Heber City; Jennifer & Dennis Nelson of Mountain Green; Carolyn Whelan of River Heights; M. Tracy & Sherry Brown of Logan; Anita & Roger Meline of Camas, WA. They have 26 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 18 at 12:00 Noon at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 E. 400 N., Logan. A viewing will be held, Sunday March 17th, from 5 pm-7 pm at Nelson funeral Home and 10:30 am - 11:30 am on Monday, prior to the services. The internment will be at the Logan Cemetery.
