LeVell Funk Bradley

October 19, 1914 — December 1, 2007

LeVell Funk Bradley passed away peacefully at the age of 93, December 1, 2007, in Logan, Utah.
She was born October 19, 1914 in Sterling, Utah to Daniel Buckley Funk III and Annie C. Peterson Funk. She was the fourth of five children. Her early schooling was in Sanpete County, graduating from Gunnison High School.
LeVell contracted whooping cough in her first few months of life, narrowly missing death. She has had that strong will to live throughout her 93 years, overcoming many obstacles.
She married her childhood sweetheart, Glen C. Bradley, January 20, 1936 in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived their early years in Annabella, Utah, later moving to Logan, Utah for the remainder of their lives.
LeVell had a strong faith and trust in her Latter-Day Saint teachings. She served her Heavenly Father in many church capacities, her favorite being the Relief Society Organization. She worked in the Annabella Ward and Logan Third Ward, making many long-lasting friendships.
LeVell will be remembered for her generous, open-door hospitality, her delicious dinners, her quick wit and fun sense of humor and her beautiful needlepoint and handwork.
Her greatest treasure was her family and her most favorite time was the Christmas Season. She started decorating and planning her Christmas traditions the day after Thanksgiving. She included her family in cookie and candy making and many holiday surprises.
She enjoyed writing in her journal and wrote faithfully each day for over fifty years. Family members referred to her Journals for past information about their own lives and historical events which she kept record of meticulously.
We are grateful she is finally reunited with her three daughters who preceded her in death; Twila Bradley, Leslie Ann Jorgensen, Deanna Bradley, and her husband, Glen, who died August 4, 2007.
She is survived by her son, Lee Glen Dixie, seven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.
We are deeply grateful for the kindness and support given to LeVell by Doctor Steven S. Salisbury and Louise Tobey and the caring people of CNS Hospice, especially Gina.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to CNS Hospice in the memory of LeVell F. Bradley, and mailed to: Home Health & Hospice, 6949 High Tech Dr., Midvale, UT 84047.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2007 at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan. Friends and family may call from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to services.
