Leona Mary Giles of 585 N. 100 W. Logan, UT, beloved wife, sister, mother and grandmother, died August 6 at home of natural causes. Mary was born October 22, 1928 in Jackson Hole, WY to Scott and Leona Jesse Sinclair Daniels, and raised in Victor, Idaho. After graduating from Driggs High School she worked at Lundley?s Drug Store in Jackson Hole, where she met her husband, Francis. They were married in Victor, September 18, 1948 and settled in Jackson Hole where they raised their three sons, Aaron, Dallas and Dennis twins. Among many activities Mary taught her sons square-dancing and helped them perform in the town square during the summer. They moved to Logan, UT in 1960 where their daughter Jennifer was born and raised. Mary and her family built and operated a Laundromat on Dee Ave. for many years before selling it and settling into the apartment business. Mary was an enthusiastic soccer grandma, supporting her grandchildren in their many sports, music, church and community activities. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints she served as Young Women president, choir director, and in the Relief Society and primary. She will especially be remembered for her singing and her love of music and skiing, which she taught to all her children and grandchildren. Mary is survived by her husband Francis, sons Dallas, Dennis and wife, Peggy, daughter Jennifer and husband, Galen, and daughter-in-law, Jackie, 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, her brother Scott Daniels, and sisters Truth Golden, Cleo Burke, and Norma Gustafson. She was preceded in death by son Aaron, a brother, Gerald and a sister Eris Mennear. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, August 11, 2003 at the Logan 15th Ward chapel, 125 West 600 North, with Bishop Don Rawlinson conducting. Friends and family may call Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan and Monday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church prior to services.
