Leon C. Miller, 80, of Las Vegas, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2009, at his home. He was born June 22, 1928, in Penrose, Utah. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. Leon had a love for education and served as a dedicated teacher for over 30 years. He was a man of great faith with a kind heart and wonderful sense of humor. Leon is survived by his wife, of 49 years, Thelma; sister, Doris Newell Johnson; son, Brad Julie Miller; daughters, Linda Brian Andersen, Sheri David Winkelkotter and Julee Todd Edwards; and 12 grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, at Palm Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. A viewing will be 10-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, with funeral services following at 11 a.m., at the Eldorado Estates LDS Chapel, 5975 Clayton, in North Las Vegas.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 11, 2009 2:00 p.m. at the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery, Tremonton, Utah.
