Lenus Leon Jorgensen

December 16, 1910 — September 25, 2005

Lenus Leon Jorgensen, 94, passed away September 25, 2005. Born December 16, 1910 in Logan, Utah. He was the 5th of seven children born to Joseph and Jane Ann Jorgensen.
He grew up living in Logan during the winter and on the family farm in Benson during the summer.
He graduated from Logan High and attended Utah State.
He married Edna Greene March 13, 1935 in the Logan Temple. They raised their family in Benson on the family farm. Later moved to Logan.
Lenus enjoyed dancing and music. He and Edna belonged to the Valaire Dance Club for a number of years. Lenus was a long-time member of the "Oldies But Goodies" Harmonica Band which performed at many places in Cache Valley and the surrounding area. He also volunteered for many years at Sunshine Terrace. He was a faithful member of the LDS church and served in numerous church callings.
He is survived by three daughters, Marlene Burton Eliason of Sandy, Utah; Elaine Ron Burris; South Ogden, Utah; Venice Gayle Richards; Taylorsville, Utah; and two sons, Ferris Cathy Jorgensen, Benson, Utah and Ferron Jorgensen, Phoenix, Arizona; 12 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by two sisters: Leah Humphreys and Rachel Harris. He was preceded in death by his wife and one granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, at Nelson Funeral Home 162 E. 400 N. Logan, Utah. There will be a viewing on Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services.
