Leila Jean Woodruff Nielson

Tremonton, Utah - In loving memory, Leila Jean Woodruff Nielson, 76, passed from this life March 14, 2007 in Tremonton, Utah. She was born July 28, 1931 to Elmer and Lila Madsen Woodruff. Jean was a devoted primary teacher, chorister, cub leader and LDS Temple Worker. She loved art, music, poetry and shared her talents with her children. She cared for others and often helped the needy. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Gary L Nielson, Tremonton, Utah and sons: Lynn W Nielson, Highland, Utah, David W Nielson, Farmington, Utah, Marvin W Nielson, Tremonton, Utah; daughters: Penny Larsen, Dubois, Idaho, Jody Wells, Glendale, Arizona; son, Darin W Nielson, Murray, Utah; sisters: Phillis Stayner, Malad, Idaho, Janet Selman, Tremonton, Utah, Charlene Hill, Bananza, Oregon; 38 grandchildren, and eight great grand children. Preceding her in death were her parents, Elmer and Lila Woodruff and baby brother, Elmer. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 11:00 am in the Riverview LDS Ward, 10750 North Highway 38, Deweyville, Utah with Bishop Michael Yates officiating. Friends and family may call Monday, March 19, 2007 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, Utah and Tuesday, from 9:30-10:40 am at the church. Interment at Elwood Cemetery.
