Lawrence W. Lloyd Tremonton: Lawrence W. Lloyd, 86, died September 22, 2002, at his home in East Tremonton. He was born to Mary Ann Newbold and William Henry Lloyd, on August 15, 1916, at South Jordon, Utah. He was the sixth child in a family of eight. He received his education in South Jordan and while living there also worked at a very young age for Anderson and Holt with the sheep. In the spring of 1933, he came to Tremonton looking for work. He worked for many farmers in the East Tremonton area, for Ervin Stohl Elevators, Germer, Abbot & Waldron Construction, W. W. Clyde, U & I Sugar Company, moving trucks and equipment for Jay Dee Harris, and retired from the Box Elder County Road Dept. He married Zelma Kay on October 4, 1937, in South Jordon. Their marriage was solemnized September 12, 1938, in the Salt Lake Temple. They have made their home in East Tremonton since 1938. He was a member of the Riverview Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and his wife very much enjoyed their work in the Logan Temple. He was an expert storyteller and he especially loved and enjoyed his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, children, Dee Lou Brent Riser, Tremonton; David Glenda Lloyd, Tremonton; Susan Cleve Steed, Plymouth; daughter-in-law, Karen Shaw Lloyd, Syracuse; a brother, Harold Edith Lloyd, St. George, 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren plus one on the way; two great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Steven Lloyd; a grandson, Norman David Lloyd, granddaughter, Lori Stokes; four sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 26, 2002, 11:00 a.m. at the Deweyville/Riverview LDS Ward Chapel, 10750 North Highway 38. Friends may call Wednesday, September 25th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Thursday, September 26th from 9:30 to 10:40 a.m. at the church. The family would like to thank Chris Robinette and Brookside Home Health, Heritage Hospice, family and neighbors and a special nephew and niece, Henry & Gayle Spackman for the loving care that was given to Lawrence during his illness.
