Lawerence Mack Rasmussen

Garland/Kaysville, UT – Lawerence Mack Rasmussen, 82, passed away January 15, 2011 at his home in Kaysville, UT. He was born December 7, 1928 in Twin Falls, ID to Frank "D" and Rachel Leah McEwen Rasmussen. He married Berva Dee Pope June 19, 1951 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and after being discharged he joined the Army Reserves. He retired after 39 years from the US Department of Agriculture having served as a Soil Scientist. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served for many years as stake and ward clerk and in many other capacities. He is survived by his Wife: Berva Dee of Kaysville, UT, Children Susan Mike Jones of American Fork, UT, David Lee Debbie Rasmussen of Fairpart, NY, DeAnn David Stone, Farmington, UT, Linda Clay Hess of Idaho Falls, ID, Gary Mack Rasmussen of Provo, UT and Neil Jay Michele Rasmussen of Colorado Springs, CO; 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and sister Kirstine Rasmussen Tindall of Ogden, UT. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Alice and brother Parley. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home Chapel, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, UT. Friends may call at the Kays Ward Chapel, 925 South Deseret Drive, Kaysville, UT Friday, January 21, 2011 from 6:00-8:00p.m. and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home prior to the funeral services. Interment will follow in the Garland Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
