LaVeda Spencer Rock

LaVeda Spencer Rock, 94, passed away Friday, April 4, 2008. She was born December 20, 1913 in Kimball Alberta Canada to James and Jane Catherine Pilling Spencer. She married Richard Edwin Rock January 9, 1936 in Brigham City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple in 1949.
She enjoyed handiwork, cooking, fishing and her family. She worked at Hunts for 25 years and Green Rock Café, Western Trails Café and Mack's Drive-in for a combined total of 20 years.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving as a Sunday School teacher for 25 years, Relief Society teacher and Visiting Teacher.
Surviving are her children: RaNae Neil Anderson, Elwood, DeVere LaRee Rock, North Ogden, Dean Carolyn Rock, Tremonton and Carol Ann Wayne Dudman, Ogden; 14 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; three great, great-grandchildren; seven step relatives and three sisters: May Les Darrington, Bernice Raymond Couch and Faunice Chew.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 15 siblings, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Tremonton South Stake Center, 1150 South Tremont Street, Tremonton. A viewing will be held Monday, April 7, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Interment will be held at Bothwell Valley View Cemetery.
