LaRue Ford, age 86, of Logan, UT died Monday, November 27, 2006 in West Valley City. Her husband William John Ford died in 1958. She is survived by her son, Wesley Jay, wife Judy Ann Wilkins; five grandchildren: Clinton Wes - Kathleen Adams, Kathy Hulse - Scott, Michael Darin - Carrie Strickland, Shane Davis - Camille Wicker, Troy William - Rebecca Fosse; and great grandchildren, Janelle, Jessica, Weston, Megan, Jaydon, Charly, Ian, Isaac, Stevi and BrinlyAnn. LaRue was born December 31, 1919 in Lewiston, Cache, Utah to Albert Haven Westover and Liva Karren. Her brothers & sisters: Velda, Ila Pyper - Joseph, Nord - Carmen, Don - Connie, Vera Olsen - Mike, Harold - Marcie, Reed - Gladys, Thelma, Clair - Mary Alice. Her parents, sisters Velda and Thelma, and brother-in-law Joseph Pyper preceded her in death. LaRue worked for 23 years for the Utah Health Department in Logan and retired December 31, 1985. During that time she was active in the Logan Women's Professional Organization and participated in other community activities. LaRue was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and provided financial help to several of her nephews and grandchildren during their missionary service for the church. The family will receive friends at the Nelson Funeral Home 162 E 400 N
Logan, UT, Saturday, December 2, 2006 at 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Lewiston City Cemetery.
