Larry G. Stokes

Ogden - Larry G. Stokes, 63, passed away at his home on Thursday, April 22, 2004 of natural causes. He was born on June 10, 1940 to Lyle A. and Luenna Garbanati Stokes. He married Glenda Lee Cummins and later divorced. He then married Nadine Heckert and later divorced. He grew up in Snowville and graduated from Bear River High School. He moved to Ogden and worked in several packinghouses, then drove milk truck until he retired three years ago.
Larry was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to fish, hunt, and catch up on his sleep. He especially loved his children, grandchildren, family and his dog Bosco. He held the position of an Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by two daughters and two sons: Lynette Stokes of Ogden, Larry Dean Stokes of Salt Lake City, Shelly Bill Lewis and Macklin J. Stokes both of Ogden, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two brothers: Thayne Charlene Stokes of Ogden, Brent Deborah Stokes of Snowville, and one sister, Shanna Wayne Yarbough of Declo, Idaho.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Lorie. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Curlew LDS Church located at 75 North 100 East, Snowville. Family and friends may call on Monday, April 26, 2004 from 6-8 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home located at 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Tuesday 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral at the church.
Interment will be at the Snowville Cemetery.
