Kristy Morris

February 16, 1957 — January 8, 2004

Kristy Morris died on January 8, 2004, in Logan, due to complications following influenza. She was born on February 16, 1957, in South Ruislip, Middlesex, England, to Frankie Morris and John Koran Morris and was raised in Logan. From childhood Kristy was drawn to the arts and before settling on visual art, she was a serious student of dance. Later she performed with the Valley Dance Ensemble. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting from Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles and a Master of Fine Arts in illustration from the University of Missouri, Columbia.
Kristy spared no effort in all that she did. Even the cards that she drew to accompany her gifts were unique works of art. She was an excellent cook and hostess and loved hiking in the local canyons. But most of all, Kristy was an extraordinary designer and watercolorist. Her work has been shown in Logan, Salt Lake City, at the Springville Art Museum and has appeared in various magazines. She will be remembered for her brilliant works of fantasy and her exquisitely fine portraits.
Kristy?s passing will be mourned by her parents; her siblings, Ann Morris, Wilford Joseph Morris, and Rachel Morris and by her many friends.
