Kirk David Rose, age 50, returned to his Heavenly Father on September 13, 2004. Born May 15, 1954 to LaVor D. Rose and Beverly Austin Rose Boss
Kirk was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had many happy times growing up in Tremonton. He graduated from Bear River High School where he was the drummer for the Lancers Jazz Band.
Kirk was a very special man who had touched a lot of people's hearts. He was a great husband, an irreplaceable dad, brother, step-dad and grandfather. Kirk had a heart of gold and would openly give it to anyone who would take it. He loved a lot of things and music was one of them. He took a lot of pride playing in the band, Absalon and was "master of the drums", as they called him. He enjoyed teaching and passing on that talent to others. He also loved being himself. Kirk was a leader not a follower. He lived life the way he wanted and loved it. His son, Cody, was another joy he loved. Long conversations with his son and seeing his grandson lit up his life. Kirk was a very generous man who was always there for anyone who needed him, including his stepchildren. He would always lead them in the right direction. His favorite granddaughter, Faith, enjoyed "Papa time" reading books and picking grapes together. He loved to buy pops and candy bars for his buddy Drew. He had lots of love for all his children. He will be dearly missed by all of them.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother. He is survived by his wife, Janet; son, Cody Ryan Rose Abbie; grandson, Ryan James Robert Rose, Spokane, WA; stepchildren, April, Jason, Drew, Niki, Chrystle; grandchildren Dayvon and Faith; sister, Julie Jim Larson; brothers, Roger Rose, Mont Cheryl Rose, Greg "Moe" Julie Rose and stepfather, Ken Boss.
He faced his final challenges in life the same way he faced all of life's challenges, with courage, strength, optimism and one last smile.
