Wm. Kevin Johnson, born April 19, 1954 returned to his heavenly home on December 11, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Kevin was born to Joseph Glen and Edna Mae Johnson and raised in a family of 10 siblings. He spent his life in Hyde Park, Utah.
Kevin enjoyed being involved in community events, ie the city booth at the county fair, float building and the community Pioneer Celebration. He was employed at USU as a postal clerk in the TSC. He enjoyed his interactions daily with many people.
Kevin was a kind, gentle, caring man who everyone loved and enjoyed spending time with. He was truly a friend to all and has very many dear friends. As he said, “there are people you love, and people that you don’t know”.
Kevin enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes. He loved the Christmas season every part of it. This time of year gave him great comfort and spent most of his final days watching Hallmark Christmas shows and old time Christmas movies.
Kevin is an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings including Bishoprics, Elders Quorums, home teaching, but his favorite was teaching the gospel through word and example. He truly had a love for his Savior.
He married Betty Wahlstrom in 1982 in the Logan Temple and they were blessed with 4 children; Christopher, Brandt (Erin), Whitney and Andrew (Kristina). He has 4 grandchildren whom he loved and adored spending time with and in return they love their ‘Poppa’.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Rodney. He is survived by his 9 siblings and their spouses, his wife and children and their spouses and grandchildren; Landon, Payzlee, Olivia and Knox.
The family is especially grateful to his brother, Cody Johnson with CNS and Riley who have been so compassionate in his care.
