Together again and Forever Kenneth Lewellyn Varner, loving father and grandfather passed away suddenly, but peacefully on March 3, 2003 surrounded by his family. He was born in Logan, Utah on May 15, 1938 to Marge and Dorris Varner, one of six children. He married Earlene Thompson on December 31, 1956 and together they raised six children. He served in the Navy for three years and worked for Cedar Valley Trucking for many years. He was retired at the time of his death. Kenneth is survived by all six of his children and their spouses: Doug Joann Varner; Chris Melissa Varner; Brenda Roger Spackman; Elton Teresa Varner; Leann John Algee; D.J. Liz Varner; sixteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Marge Varner; two brothers, Bill Varner and his wife and Don Varner; one sister, Julie Stan Atkinson; his mother-in-law, Leora Thompson; sister-in-law, Rosalee Jerry Riddle, brother-in-law, Larry RaNae Thompson and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all who knew him and loved him. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Earlene Varner, his dad, Dorris Varner; two sisters: Gail Fox and Peggy Liberty; his father-in-law, Earl Thompson; one sister-in-law, Alta Tingey; one step-brother-in-law, Kenneth Thompson and grandparents on both sides of the family. We would like to extend a special thank you to Logan Regional Hospital and Salt Lake LDS Hospital for all they did to try to keep him here with us. We would also like to issue a very special thanks to Bishop Steven Earl and Bishop Kelly Johnson in our time of need, you guys have been great with us. Again, thanks so much for everything you have done for Mom and Dad. We want you to know, Dad, son, brother and grandfather, we love you very much and we will all miss you. So go now and spend the rest of eternity with Mom and tell her we all love her. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2003 at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan. Friends and family may call on Friday evening, March 7, 2003 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:40 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Hyrum City Cemetery.
